End Of Summer
Lecture Series

The End of Summer lecture series brings notable guests from diverse fields of study in the arts to Portland. The lecture series is one of the main components of the corresponding End of Summer residency program, for emerging Japanese artists and students.

The guest lecturers are invited to the program to encourage a perspective that is international and critically engaged. Each of the lecturers and their work are also directly investigating, or informed by Japanese sensibilities or history, crucially framing the western-set program in eastern points of view.

All lecture series events will be held at the Japan Institute and are open to the public.
